Why is this important?
Imagine being able to stay in our county, not driving over 60 miles, for health care services and having the support of our loved ones.
A hospital will reduce the number of life flights and ambulance transfers. In June 2020, of the 100 people that came through our emergency room at the Pinedale Clinic, 21 of them could have stayed in Pinedale if we had a critical access hospital.
Having closer hospital care improves survival times for trauma, heart attacks and strokes.
The “golden hour” is the industry standard which recommends critical trauma patients should be assessed and transported in less than 60 minutes.
